For over a thousand years, the Akan people of West Africa used Adinkra symbols to carry wisdom too important to lose — stamped onto cloth, carved into stools, passed from one generation to the next. Further east, the Nsibidi script did the same for the Igbo, Efik, and Ekoi peoples: a visual language older than most alphabets in use today.

Tribal Loop takes these symbols out of the archive and back onto the street — on hoodies, tees, and caps built for everyday people who want their clothing to mean something.
